Commio.io Login: How to Set Up 2FA

Two-factor authentication enhances your account’s security by requiring you to present a second factor in addition to your username and password when you sign in. This prevents illegal access to your account and its settings resulting in fraudulent activity.

Follow these steps to set it up.

To start: Go to Commio.io and login with your username and password.
You will be prompted to configure 2FA and will see the following instructions page:

Steps to configure 2FA: If you don't already have one, you'll need to download an authenticator app on your mobile device or add an extension to your web browser. You can use any MFA authenticator app. Open your authenticator app or browser extension and click to add a new entry. Scan the QR code given on your setup page in Commio. Or, click to show the manual set-up key and enter that in your app or extension. Find the new "commio.io" entry and enter the generated code in the field on the setup page within Commio and press the Verify button. Please note that the code refreshes every 30 seconds. Make a note of the Recovery Code. This can be used if you ever lose access to your authenticator app. This is NOT the 2FA access code. That's it! Enter a code during login when prompted. Never share this code with anyone else. Commio staff will never ask for this code.

You may use any authenticator app that works with your device OR a web browser extension. If you have an iPhone, you can also use the embedded functionality inside passwords to set up 2FA authentication. Here are some other options, as well:

Please note, if you enter the 2FA code incorrectly five times, your user will become suspended. Contact Commio support via support@commio.com to have it re-enabled.
